Battery candles are handy right up until the batteries need changing. Two tiny batteries in every candle, and one always dies before the rest. Luma charges instead: stand all six in the dock, plug in the USB-C cable, and after about two hours they're ready again. One charge gives around 70 hours of light.

Good to know before you buy.
The candles are 2 cm across and 24.5 cm tall. Standard taper candles are often a touch thicker, around 2.2 cm, so in some holders Luma may sit slightly loose. Measure the hole in your holder if you're unsure. If a candle feels loose, a candle collar around the base sorts it.
Stand all six in the dock and plug in the USB-C cable that comes with it. The other end is a standard USB plug, so it fits a phone charger or your laptop. Charging takes around 2 hours.
Around 70 hours, according to the manufacturer. How many evenings that gives you depends on how long they're on. With the timer at four hours a night, one charge lasts a little over two weeks.
Switch all the candles on and off at once, change the light mode and set a timer for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours so they go out by themselves. Each candle also has a button underneath, in case the remote has vanished down the sofa.
