ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED!! It sits right next to the front door, and the light beech works SO well with the black handle and the smart lock. I took the photo in the evening because I simply could not help myself. The magnet catches every single time 🚪

We had our boot room redone, and the dark walnut was exactly what the wall between the coat hooks and the front door was missing. It sits beautifully with the old live-edge bench, and the shoes now line up underneath instead of sprawling across the floor. No screws, no holes — just tape. It has not moved a millimetre since May.
black one on the beige wall right under the light switch, next to the door. minimal, exactly how i wanted it. looks like it has always been there. no holes, no fuss.
I chose light oak because we have an old raw pine mirror right beside it — and the two woods really flatter each other. You can see into the kitchen in the photo, and even from there it looks right. The shoes now stand in a row on the floor instead of in a heap by the door.
We rent, so I am not allowed to drill into the walls — hence this one. It sits by the back door out to the garden, where we pull garden shoes on and off all summer. The tape gripped straight away on the smooth grey wall. Pure relief 🤎
Honestly, I thought it was far too expensive for a shoehorn. Then it arrived, and I took this close-up five minutes later — just look at that edge, and the way it curves off towards the hinge. That is furniture making, not hardware. I take it all back.
Practical doesn't have to be ugly
We made the thing we were missing in our own hallway: one piece of solid wood, sanded soft and oiled so the grain comes forward — and a magnetic mount that puts it back in place without a single hole in the wall.
Solid wood
One piece of wood, not plastic with a printed grain. You feel the weight immediately, and the grain is different on every single one.
Oiled finish
The oil closes the surface without making it glossy. The tone warms with the years — the way good furniture does.
55 cm — all the way down
The length is chosen so you can stand upright with a straight back. Not a keyring shoehorn — one that actually does the work.
It doesn't end up in a drawer. It stays by the door, like something the hallway got better looking for.
Try it before you order
Drag the slider and see what those 55 cm do to your back.
The back-angle meter
Drag the slider and see who does the work.
It's also the first thing people with a bad back, stiff knees or a big bump say: they'd been missing it without knowing.
It hangs by the door — and gets used every day
The hallway
By the front door, where you're already standing with your coat on.
When guests come over
Nobody has to fight with a heel on the way out. It's right there.
Pregnant or a bad back
You stay upright. No bending, no balancing on one leg.
Boots & sneakers
High shafts and stiff heel counters are exactly where it matters most.
Gift idea
The kind of thing nobody buys themselves — and is glad about every morning.
Four reasons it stays on the wall
Solid wood
Not plastic. It won't snap, and it feels like something.
Magnetic mount, no drilling
Adhesive tape on the back. No screws, no holes in the wall.
55 cm
So you stand upright instead of bending after your heel.
Designed to be on show
Clean lines and oiled wood — it belongs in the hallway instead of hiding.
Length and finishes follow the variant you choose above.
Questions we get
Can't find your answer? Write to us — we usually reply the same day.
Yes. The magnet carries the shoehorn with room to spare — it stays put even when you grab it in a hurry. And you put it back one-handed: it finds its own place.
The tape is made for painted walls, tiles, glass and wood, and is meant to come off again. To move the mount, warm it gently with a hairdryer and pull the tape away slowly along the wall. On very new or thin paint there is always a risk — put it on the door frame or the tiles instead.
For most adults, yes — the length is chosen so you can stand upright with a straight back. If you're very tall, just step one foot forward; you still never have to kneel.
Yes, and that's where it helps most. High shafts and stiff heel counters are the hardest to get into — the blade is curved so it follows the heel all the way down.
Solid wood, sanded and oiled. The finishes come from the wood and the treatment, not from paint — so the grain differs from piece to piece, and no two are quite the same.
Almost none. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. To keep the tone deep, give it a little furniture oil once a year. Never soak it, and don't leave it in a wet hallway.
What customers say about the shoehorn
ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED!! It sits right next to the front door, and the light beech works SO well with the black handle and the smart lock. I took the photo in the evening because I simply could not help myself. The magnet catches every single time 🚪

Nice thing, and light oak was the right choice for our old house. One minus: this wall is a bit rough after many coats of paint, so the tape let go after a couple of days. I pressed it down properly and left it a full day, and since then it has held rock solid. The clogs now sit right underneath, where they belong.
After my slipped disc I cannot bend down to get my heel in, and this has removed a small daily irritation. It hangs next to my grandmother's old pedestal table with the glass vase on top, and the walnut almost matches the wood of the table. The umbrella hangs on the other side. That whole corner finally makes sense.
Simple. Works. Looks good. Should have bought it years ago.
Gave it to my mother-in-law in dark oak for her 70th birthday, and she rang the same evening to say thank you. Her knees are bad and she does not bend down any more. Now I clearly need one myself.
nice. holds well. that'll do.
The black one looks so good against our white wall ✨ And finally a shoehorn that does not live in a drawer with umbrellas and old keys 🤎
I have been looking at these for a long time, but most are either plastic or far too short. The 55 cm is a perfect fit for me — I am 1.88 m and do not have to bend at all. The wood is solid and well sanded, no splinters or sharp edges anywhere. The magnetic bracket went up in five seconds, and it does not come off even when you tug at it. It is rare that something is simply this well made.
Really good and handsome. I had just hoped it was a touch longer for my tall riding boots — I still have to go down on one knee for those. For trainers and ankle boots it is perfect.
Ordered walnut. The colour is deeper in real life than on screen, and that is only a bonus. Insanely lovely piece of wood.
Bought three — one for us and two as gifts. All three have been remarked on by guests 😄 That is not something you get to say about a shoehorn very often.
The undersigned is 74 years of age and has suffered back trouble for many years. This implement has made the mornings considerably easier. It is well made and sits firmly on the wall. Warmly recommended.
The light beech matches our oak floor as if it were planned. Hangs just inside the door.
BUY IT. I thought it was a gimmick. It is NOT. I use it every single morning.
So easy to put up. I am 68 and managed it myself in a minute without help from anyone.
The man of the house was sceptical. The man of the house now uses it the most.
Good quality and a good length. The colour of the dark oak is a little darker than in the photos on the website though, almost black in daylight. I have got used to it, but wanted to mention it.
Solid. Handsome. No holes in the wall. Perfect.
I am eight months pregnant and simply cannot reach my shoes any more 😅 My husband found this one, and it has saved our mornings. Now I do not have to sit on the floor like a stranded turtle.
You can tell someone thought about the details. Even the magnetic bracket is wood and not just a bit of plastic.
The shoehorn itself is handsome, I will give it that. But mine arrived with a small scratch in the finish near the bottom, and I could not face the hassle of returning it. Customer service offered a discount, which was decent of them, but it is a shame when you have been looking forward to something.
insanely pretty 🤎 black one, hangs in the hallway, everyone asks where it is from
Bought for the caravan, where there is always sand and shoes and chaos. Now the shoehorn is out in the open and everyone uses it. Good investment.
Very happy with the product itself. Delivery took a week longer than promised though, and I heard nothing along the way. The product gets five, the experience four.
Our hallway was a bit dull. Now there is one piece of wood on the wall that makes all the difference. Funny how little it takes.
An excellent and well-considered solution. I have passed it on as a gift to two friends, both of whom were as delighted as I was.
Solid wood, no wobble, no flex. You can put your whole weight on the heel and nothing happens.
I love that it just hangs there as if it were part of the wall. Not something to be hidden away.
Good craftsmanship. Full stop.
We have four pairs of shoes standing by the door, and now there is one shoehorn for all of them instead of three broken plastic things in the drawer.
I have had a bad back since I was 40. This is not a mobility aid, it looks like furniture — and that actually matters to me.
Really nice! The only thing is that the tape needs a firm press and a full day left alone before you start pulling at it. It said so in the instructions, I just did not read them. My fault, but mentioning it for other people's sake.
Perfect for our hallway. Wife happy. Me happy.
🚪✨ light oak, white wall, no holes. dream setup for someone who rents
I turn 81 this autumn and have tried a good many shoehorns over the years. This is the first that is both long enough and handsome enough to leave on display. It should have been invented long ago.
Bought it for our new flat and chose walnut. It is the first thing you see when you come in, and that is perfectly fine by me.
Sturdy thing. Sits as it should. Nothing more to say.
I actually had a cheap one from a supermarket that snapped in two after six months — that is why I went looking for something proper. The difference is immediately obvious. This is heavy, smooth and completely rigid. And there is something lovely about lifting it off the magnet and putting it back without even thinking about it.
My six-year-old can do it herself now. That was actually the main reason we bought it.
Good quality for the money. I do think the magnet could have been a touch stronger though — if you set it back at an angle the horn slides down a little. Not a big problem.
Such a beautiful object. Mine is beech, and the wood is light and warm without being yellow.
BEST PURCHASE THIS YEAR. And I have bought quite a lot this year.
The shoehorn itself is fine and does its job. But our wall is rough plaster and the tape would not stick — I ended up using a small screw instead, which was rather the thing I wanted to avoid. It works now, but not as promised for my kind of wall.
Much better than expected. The wood feels alive.
Over the years the undersigned has acquired a number of mobility aids, but this is the first that does not look like one. It is a pleasure to have it on the wall.
Bought two, one for the hallway and one for the bedroom by the chest of drawers. No regrets.
Really handsome design and a good length. I am taking off a star because the packaging was a bit flimsy for the price — mine was loose in the box and had a couple of marks from transit. You can hardly see them now.
does exactly what it should. no nonsense.
My grandchildren gave it to me for Mother's Day. The best present I have had in years, and it gets used every single day.
Beautiful and practical at the same time. Rare.
I chose black because I thought wood would be too rustic for our flat. It was exactly the right call 🖤 It almost disappears into the wall until you need it.
I had been looking forward to it, but my one arrived with an obvious scuff in the surface and a small chip on the bottom edge. Practically speaking it works fine, and the magnet holds. But at this price I expect it to be flawless out of the box. Two stars for what I actually received.
Our hallway is narrow and anything that sticks out gets in the way. This one is flat enough that you can walk past without catching it.
Good old-fashioned craftsmanship in an age when most things are plastic. That pleases me.
It is handsome and it works. I just find the price on the high side considering what it is. But I use it daily, so it will probably pay for itself.
Bought for my father, who has had a hip replacement. He has phoned twice to tell me how pleased he is. That probably says it all.
Far prettier than in the photos. The beech has a really lovely grain.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! Already recommended it to three colleagues!!
I have arthritis in my hands, and this is easy to grip — it is not thin and slippery like the old metal ones.
Works. Handsome. Done.
Really good, but be aware that the magnet sits roughly at the midpoint, so the horn tips a little if you hang it crooked. Once you have found the balance it stays put.
Has been up since April and has not shifted a millimetre. We have a smooth painted wall.
We moved into an old house with a hallway that was really just a corridor. I have spent a long time making something of it, and this was one of the last pieces. Now it hangs in walnut next to the coat hooks, and that corner has a completely different calm to it. It may sound over the top about a shoehorn, but there it is.
Sensible thing. Holds well. No complaints.
🤎 light oak and a white wall. simple and lovely. my husband says i spent money on a piece of wood. i say it is art.
It does its job and the wood is nice. But I had expected it to be a bit thicker in the hand — it feels lighter than I imagined from the photos. Not bad, just not quite what I pictured.
We have small children and permanent chaos by the door. This is the only thing in the hallway that is always where it should be.
The undersigned can confirm that the product lives up to its description in every respect. Fitting took under a minute, and the instructions were clear and easy to read.
Very nice. I do wish there were a slightly shorter version for children — our daughter cannot quite handle the long one yet. For us adults it is perfect.
Got it yesterday. Have already used it five times. It is staying.
Get it in walnut if you are unsure. It is deep and warm and goes with everything.
Finally a shoehorn you do not have to go looking for.
Honestly, I thought it was far too expensive, and I said so out loud several times before we bought it. Now I use it every day and I have stopped saying it.
Sturdy and simple. The kind of thing you never have to buy twice.
Love it ✨ Black one, hangs next to the mirror in the hallway.
Good product. I would just have liked a spare piece of tape included, in case you get the position wrong first time or want to move it later. You really only get one go.
My husband has Parkinson's and cannot keep his balance when he bends over. This has given him a little independence back in the mornings. Thank you for that.
sweet. hangs well. looks expensive in the good way.
I have been looking for something that does not look like hospital equipment. This is the first time I have found it.
An excellent acquisition. I am 79 and have not bent down for a shoe since it came into the house.
Buying another one for my sister. I rarely bother recommending anything, but here I am doing it.
Light beech. Goes with everything. No fingerprints, no dust collecting on it.
Works well and the design is lovely. My only minus is that the magnetic bracket collects a bit of dust along the edge, so you have to wipe it now and then. Trivial, really.
We chose dark oak for our dark floors. It all hangs together now.
Well made, I will give it that. But 55 cm is still a bit short for me — I am 1.96 m and have to stoop slightly. Had I known, I might have kept looking. The quality is there though.
The best thing about it is that it just hangs there looking good 🚪 No drawer, no searching.
A friend recommended it and now I understand why. Simply a good piece of work.
Good thing, but be careful if you have wallpapered walls — ours did not hold as well as it does on painted wall. We moved it to the door frame, and there it is perfect.
Fine thing. I have nothing further to add.
I bought it in March and have used it every single day since. It still looks brand new.
A well-considered piece of craftsmanship. I have recommended it to my entire gymnastics club.
